When our Windows software is due for activation, there are different processes to activate Windows recommended by Windows itself. Most of us might have challenges as to why we haven't activated our windows, and Windows has its own way of constant reminder by displaying "activate windows" as a water mark at the lower right corner of the screen of our PC.

 

How to remove the Activate Windows watermark

It is advised to activate our windows as fast as possible with the recommended way by Windows to enjoy the full privileges without restrictions like being unable to personalize the background. Meanwhile, for some that aren't ready to activate their Windows and want to use their PC without seeing the "Activate Windows" watermark, here is a step-by-step procedure on how to remove the Activate Windows Watermark.

Step 1: LOCATE WINDOWS REGISTRY EDITOR

Go to your search bar on your Windows and search for "Registry Editor." Click and open it when you see it.


Step 2: LOCATE THE "SVSVC"

When the registry editor is open, click on HKey Local Machine > System > Current Control Set > Services > and select svsvc.


Step 3: MODIFY THE VALUE DATA

When the svsvc is selected, locate the "start" in the open window, right-click on the start, select Modify, and change the value to 4.


Step 4: RESTART YOUR COMPUTER

After making the change, restart your computer for it to take effect, and then you won't see the activated Windows watermark anymore.
