The Creative Core of Design

the Creative Core of Design

Many newbies or people who aren't into designs always wonder how designs come up. They are always feeling the structure, the colors, the writing, the images and icons, and the size, and it makes them more curious about how people come up with that.

Yes, designing entails a whole lot in the process, like the kind of software used to get it done, which is a major thing that people struggle to know about. While it is good to pay attention to the software used, in this blog post we want to draw our attention to a different part of design that is not really talked about, yet it is a major part of design, which is the creativity aspect.
Graphics design, website design, and anything design is known to be a skill, which is true, but there's something that is not directly taught in designs that requires full attention; it's the creative aspect.

The Culinary Analogy:
Picture a chef who already knows how to make different dishes and how to manipulate the little it takes to make something nice.
Wherever that chef is going, he just needs to identify the market where he can get the items for food. When directed, the chef will definitely make good food. He or she has the knowledge.
But a person who lacks the knowledge will not be able to make good food, even if he or she knows the market and how to get the items for the food.

The Creative Aspect:
Now see knowledge as the creative aspect of design and the market as the software. If you lack that creativity, it will be difficult to produce great designs. Much like this culinary analogy, design relies not only on the tools (software) but on the creative prowess of the designer.

Breaking Down the Elements:
Font: A font refers to a specific style, size, and design of text characters. It includes attributes such as typeface, boldness, and italicization, contributing to the visual appearance of written content.

Color: Color is a visual characteristic determined by the different wavelengths of light. In design and digital contexts, color is often used to convey information, create visual interest, and evoke emotions.

Structure: Structure refers to the organization and arrangement of elements within a system or object. In the context of web design or content, structure relates to the layout, hierarchy, and relationships among various components.

Icon: An icon is a small, symbolic image or representation used to convey information or represent an action. Icons are commonly used in user interfaces to provide visual cues and improve the user experience.

Images: Images are visual representations or pictures, often in digital form, that convey information, ideas, or aesthetics. In the context of web design, images are frequently used to enhance content, illustrate concepts, or create a visually appealing environment.

The Creative Backbone:

Aspire designers should note that all the above listed lies in the creativity of the designer. The software is just there to ease the creative process, where the designer gets the tools needed to implement its design.
When going into the world of design, let's place our focus on the creative part. Instead of focusing on learning just the software, creativity is the backbone of design. It produces great designs; if one lacks creativity, it will be difficult to produce great designs.

As you embark on your design journey, remember that true design brilliance emerges from the depths of creativity, turning the ordinary into the extraordinary.
